Wouldn't know. My generation learned about new music in far different ways than the one today does. I do enjoy hearing kids now tell me the music I like is "too thrashy" and that sort of thing, though.

My expectation is that people who say those things will be laying back and doing nothing if what they predict comes true. Except maybe they'll complain about how "we" are at fault again.

No disrespect to those performers, but I really think it's time for some kind of movement akin to the punk/new wave explosion of the 70's-80's to come along and challenge the homogenization and formulization of what we're calling rock these days. Again.
