Edoardo Boncinelli was my professor during my BA in Philosophy, and his course—an introduction to the brain for philosophers—changed my life forever. Thanks to him I became interested in neuroscience. I cherish his memory as both a great scientist and a remarkable human being.

Human V4 size predicts crowding distance - Nature Communications
Across 49 observers, we found large variations in crowding distance and retinotopic map size. These measures covary, conserving a 1.4-mm cortical crowding distance in the human V4 map. This links the ...
“Human V4 size predicts crowding distance”.
@jankurzawski.bsky.social, now Assistant Professor at U Maastricht, led a big effort over a few years. We used individual differences in object recognition and the size of brain maps to identify a perceptual bottleneck.

Donate to Sara's Brain Cancer Treatments, organized by Guido Maiello
Dear Family and Friends, Old and New,
We are the family of Sara Joy Hawkins, and this… Guido Maiello needs your support for Sara's Brain Cancer Treatments
My dear friends Guido and Sara have experienced a new shock recently: Sara's brain cancer has returned for the second time. Her traditional treatment options are limited, but they want to try experimental treatments not covered by insurance. Please consider donating what you can.
