Though initially impacted by last month's SCSEP furloughs, Yanmei and Niaofu Wu have since been hired by their host agency!
Despite this great news, thousands of seniors remain furloughed and vulnerable as the funding pause continues, reminding us that #SCSEPMatters.
Meet Marion, a #SCSEP participant currently furloughed due to the ongoing funding pause.
Thanks to SCSEP, Marion was able to begin building the skills necessary to return to the workforce. We urge the DOL to release funding so elders like Marion can continue their job training.
