It’s once again Girl Scout cookie season so it’s time for me remind everyone to please consider buying from NYC’s Girl Scout Troop 6000, which is entirely made up of girls living in NYC homeless shelters 🙏❤️

I just think of things like them bitching & complaining bc the right has zero musical stars that could possibly play the Super Bowl halftime. But they can easily fill a stadium for the memorial for Ch*rlie K*rk, a man most liberals were barely aware of (if that) before he died. The divide is wild.

It’s so interesting bc I think of the right as a cultureless culture, but that’s just my perception bc it barely intersects at all with what still is “mainstream culture”. Which is not to say it’s not powerful (obviously) & does not have many millions of followers.

It’s about economic insecurity and class solidarity though!

- the guy playing JFK Jr. is a literal model & still not as hot as JFK Jr. Not his fault tho bc that simply isn’t possible!

- Daryl Hannah’s catching too many strays

- feels kinda weird to have Naomi Watts play Jackie when she already played Babe Paley

That would be the “all socialists/DSA members” imbalance there. If they’re trying to portray this as representative of the new younger Democratic base (which it isn’t anyway, but it seems to be what they’re going for here) that would have been the wrong mix.

Tbh I think TNR probably planned to have someone else in that spot & then realized we can’t have this be all men/all socialists/all people being backed by the same consultant (or whatever the imbalance was) so they swapped in a hasty AI pic of what is supposed to be Crockett at the last minute

(I’m not sure I want to contemplate whether this means they will also be doing some of Lestat’s future storylines which are way wilder than this 😅)
