The Lord Lt in Dublin at the time of the Rising had been part of the team designing/developing the armoured cars.

Captured 25/1/18 with wound to right forearm. Repatriated by the Germans, he was admitted to the temporary King George Hospital, Stamford Street, London on 2/6/18 (originally a warehouse used by HM Stationery Office aka HMSO).
