Homeland Security officials said it was an immigration enforcement operation, though it was unclear if anyone had been arrested. trib.al/JYW5IsU

True story:

I went to SMU because I watched their 30 for 30 doc when applying to grad schools.

They let me in thanks to a Chicano professor from Long Beach.

I was unprepared for SMU and grad school. Nearly flunked out my 1st semester because I couldn’t write.

Thats how I started writing.
