Have had a very strange but entertaining morning that started with sharing a photo of Moomin merch in a server, and through a series of unrelated events, will conclude with me eating balls for my birthday.
Am not disappointed by this in the least. 😂

And then like 10 minutes later, everything’s in bags next to the door and all trace of my existence is gone.

Am very grateful that I was talked into taking it home, told myself I didn’t need another blanket, but there’s a big difference sleeping under a handmade quilt and a factory made one. It’s not as stiff.

Predominantly black quilt with machine embroidered purple and orange poppies in the corners. Centre is checkerboard alternating poppy wreathes with multicoloured green and purple squares also containing poppy patterns. Quilt has green and purple accent borders.

Found a handmade #quilt at Goodwill a few months back and couldn’t believe someone donated it, they’re so much time to make.
Needed some work where iron-on patches were doing more harm than good, so read some tutorials on quilting, appliquéd a patch and learned how to top stitch.
It’s so cosy! 🥰

Even buying extra storage wouldn’t have helped. Cried when I had to delete some of the ultra balls.

Driving to an appointment, there was a car in front of me that had a decal of two characters doing the Dragonball Z Fusion Pose in front of an alchemy array.

Found two in the wild this year, agreed to meet up for tea and chat, since it is a rare profession, only to have both cancel at the last minute due to conflicts in scheduling. 😞

Got Botox injections for the first time for the chronic migraines.
… maaay have disturbed the nurses a little but about how excited I was to have the world’s most potent poison injected into my head. Apparently more people are nervous than excited.
But… poisons! And science!
And pain relief! 😁

This turned into an… interesting petsitting. The least worrisome thing is on the trigger warning lists for most discord servers I’m on, and I can’t talk about the rest without violating privacy.
It’s only two nights but I’ll be glad to be done.

One of the fun things with migraines is playing the “did I take meds?” game, where you try to remember if you’ve taken painkillers today.
And then deducing you have, and trying to remember when, and basing on how fast the vertigo is ramping up if it’s safe to take more or if it’s involuntary naptime
