I was working on a song and made this phrase that didn't work with it, but it was so good I kept it by itself to use later. I like trying to find ways to make really thick bass sounds and loud, textured snares. With this I think I've figured out a few I like a lot.

Where I live now doesn’t even require vehicle inspections. It’s kinda scary and funny at the same time because sometimes I’ll see vehicles that look like they shouldn’t be able to drive, yet they’re still going. Or my favorite is one I saw and refer to as “The Terminator Car.”

I wanted to try learning how to use multiple grooves in one song with LSDJ. I used this song because it uses more than one time signature in a simple manner, and it's just funny.

I like how the Japanese version has the huge subtitle saying “Here Comes Big Bird” to get all those Japanese kids hyped for his arrival.

The voice synthesizer instrument in LSDJ doesn't usually sound the best, but when you need some gritty, electronic voices for a techno-esque song, it's perfect.

I should also mention the envelope is a constant sound that starts out a little louder and decays slightly. That's why when it restarts the loop it gets that descending sparkle sound because I didn't put any decay commands or make it stop. It sounds really cool to me though.

That vacuum-like sound? I make the vibrato extremely intense and then use the pitch bend command to move it up and down. It makes an interesting, distorted effect.

I was reading through @defensemech.com 's website again, which is where I learned most things with LSDJ, and realized I never tried using the noise channel exclusively as a lead instrument. I ended up making this fun yet obnoxious loop to try it out.

Full reinstall went fine, especially since I had everything backed up to start, and it actually updated and used the newer driver correctly. The bad part is I forgot how to get fcitx 5 to work as my input controller so I can type in Japanese. It's not straight forward on this distro for some reason.

There’s nothing quite as fun as spending your evening having to reinstall your Linux boot because a recent Nvidia driver update broke how the graphics interact and no amount of downgrading is working. 🫠

I recently went through my last album and adjusted the mixing because I realized I had the loudness entirely too high. If you download it again or acquire it now it should not distort and blast your speakers out or destroy your eardrums when above 50% volume.

I tried putting break beats samples into LSDJ and layering them creatively and using the F(WAVE frame/Finetune) command to chop them up at specific points when needed. Threw in some eerie, phasing notes and I think it works out.

Oh my, those look so fresh and delicious.

Procreate had a new update to 5.4.2 that included new brushes and features. That's great, but I don't understand why they give all their brushes names that sound like interior wall paint instead of descriptive terms for what it does. "Night Heron" doesn't make me think, "That's a gouache brush."🤪
