Props to the design team for the setting of The Long Walk. The course itself might be the biggest character in the movie and it's easy for it to go under the radar.

It depends on the IP, too. Hopeful, cooperative shows like Trek? It actually makes it hard to watch. More dire shows like Alien? More impactful, but I've noticed that the Predalien(runnerminator) universe doesn't capitalize on it anymore.
