Hourly Comics Day 2026 Midnight - 3AM I got sick the previous evening at dinner and stayed up late using videos on my phone to fall asleep. 11AM Got some sleep until my partner got up to use the bathroom. I look angrier than I was about this. 11AM-Noon Laid in bed talking with my partner about various things. Churches we'd been to came up, mostly so I can annoy its mother by admitting to being a confirmed Catholic. Commentary: I spend too much time on my phone. Usually, it's just D&D live plays or Yugioh streamers (I don't play YGO) before bed but sometimes, you just gotta get lost down the shorts hole... Noon Finally up. Outfit of the day is a surplice top, a long knit cardigan, some jeans, and my collar. Collar was a gift from my partner. <3 Noon-1PM Made tea to help my tummy settle. Pictured are all the cute things in my kitchen, my Moomin pitcher, my green ceramic teapot, my butter dish, and the electric kettle and a couple of mugs. I love my mugs! Then we watched Tasting History with Max Miller and I played with the kitty before I sat down to draw comics.

Super Bowl party later so we'll see how many I get to this evening, but it's been nice to journal today with these. :)

Sometimes the mind knows what it wants, but at the same time it can't bring itself to bear. Getting started feels like moving a mountain, the world around you closes in, crushing you, trapping you in a small space you don't know how to get out of other than to give up.

I've been a bit overwhelmed with the holiday season and arts been slow. Here's a WIP of my most recent character, Faris! I really like her. So much that I might consider making a sona version of her. I'm just a sucker for dark snoot canines.

And like that she's once again the tallest in the room.

Faris, a maned wolf: "So, yer some kinda bunny, right, Ears?" Mellow, a bighorn sheep: "...No? I'm a sheep."

Faris: "Ya sure?" Mellow: "...Yes?" Faris and Mellow (now a bunny): "..."

The previous two images as a single comic. Mellow is a bunny at the end.

In Faris's defense, Mellow does look a bit rabbit-like. Must be the ears.

I need to get me shirts like that

It finally caught up to me. I had to have a maney. It happened with jackals and now I just had to have a leggy girl. Born out of near spontaneous need, Faris, the Mane Event Fighter. (She's still at the concept design level so expect more).

Even in the deepest and darkest pits where you can't see anything else, where there is nothing but ashes and despair, there is a way out. You're not alone. Talk to the ones you care about and let them know they are loved. Everyone can use a reminder now and then.

Sometimes from the ashes of our life things grow anew. Sometimes we carry those ashes our with us so long as we breathe. Sometimes we are able to move on. Sometimes there are brighter futures to look ahead to. When nothing is left but ashes, we find out who we really are and become more. Sometimes.
