They've redesigned the GFM page so now not only is my silly meme header image obscured, but today they've also changed the font.

I'm already crowdfunding change, change is scary, I don't need more! 🥺

I've got my own crowdfunder going but God I'd want someone to have a word with me if I didn't recognise the privileged position I've been in to bypass or speed up some of the stuff many other trans people deal with for extended periods.

I still make sure to pay it forward as much as possible.

I can assure you these comics are going to unrecognisable when they come back. That GIANT border frame for a start is getting binned!

My own family couldn't even name me at all on my birthday cards last month, a year after coming out to them.

Among the huge amound of useful info they provided, they also confirmed a direct approximate total cost of the surgery (previously I was estimating based on 2nd hand info).

It has turned out to be slightly cheaper than I had expected so I have been able to take £1000 off the funding goal.

I want to avoid straight up reposts of the GFM going forward unless there's new updates or I'm plugging it off the back of future comics etc.

But for those who missed it, I received a very friendly and detailed email from the surgery clinic yesterday.

It's an online illustration course by an artist I'd enjoyed the art of for a little while before the course got announced!

I was unsure if I was going to be wearing it or not when I made the video but it was so humid outside that the thought of facing it in jeans yet again was enough to give me the confidence to just go for it 😂
