After 18 years together and fighting so hard for the last 5 weeks of illness Wijit let me know she was tired and done fighting on Monday.
I'm at peace with making the call but after spending over half my life with her she's left a massive hole in my life.

Ayy, this week's phlebotomist found the vein in my arm on the first try! No bruised hand for a week this time.

I've found an unopened box of casting foam that I have no use for now that I've moved onto printing TPU bases so I may have some foam feline and canine bases available next week

After being neglected and losing a few plants when I was couchbound some of my #nepenthes are springing back to life and producing some nice pitchers now they're getting regular care again

TMC Update Firstly If like to apologise for the silence on TMC's social media this year. Since April I've been having some serious health issues. For months I was struggling to walk, raise my arms and use my hands which greatly impacted my ability to work on commissions. Earlier this month I received my diagnosis of an autoimmune disease that's attacking my joints. I've since started on medications that will allow me to finish all the current commissions in my queue. Beyond that the future of TMC is uncertain as my condition is incurable and progressive but it should be manageable. I hope to be able to continue making suits for years to come. -Kelz

Whelp, here goes my first full dose of chemo drugs to try and stop my screwed up immune system from destroying my joints

Two doses of prednisone down and not only could I walk up the 8 steps at our front door normally today but I managed to hold a knife to chop an onion and cook dinner without having to take a break since June!
I'm still very stiff and sore but I'm starting to be able to function again!

Well it's official. My immune system sucks and I have rheumatoid disease

I'm on a crazy high dose of steroids for a few weeks to get things under control. Then next wee I start on the chemo drug to suppress my immune system so it hopefully stops trying to destroy my joints

After another trip to the vet for more pain meds and a good nap she woke up and polished off 2 small plates of chicken. That's more than she's eaten at once in 2 or 3 days!

We spent well over an hour at the vets today with Wijit. She's 18yo and suddenly stopped eating. I was sure it was kidney failure and we'd be saying goodbye but her blood work was great for a cat her age. After coming back home with some medications she's managed to eat a some chicken!

So a weird side effect of being diagnosed with a chronic, debilitating, degenerative, life altering and life shortening disease that's going to cause me to be in pain for the rest of my life is that my anxiety is basically gone.

The last few months have been absolutely awful. Since June I've been struggling with pain and swelling all over my body. For weeks it nearly impossible to walk and my hands were basically useless.
In 3 weeks I see a rheumatologist to get a definitive diagnosis.

After nearly 3 weeks of not being able to use my hands, move my shoulders and barely being able to walk I'm determined to get back to work.
My hands are still too damn weak to open the safety lid on my acetone. Thankfully I have a scalple and a 'fuck you' attitude. No safety tabs, no problem 😂

I love my 3D printer but omg sometimes nothing would make me happier than setting the fucking thing on fire

I haven't needed to go to the doctors in years and now suddenly I'm staring down the barrel of an autoimmune disease diagnosis that's going to impact every part of my life 🙁

I've been dealing with horrible hand and finger pain on and off for quite some time. Last night I printed myself some ring splints to try out and OMG it doesn't hurt to use my quilting clips anymore!
