This is a quality about my self I treasure. I am never afraid to start over and take a crack at things again. Sometimes I will try to ignore that intuition but I always cave eventually. This time I just listened right away vs fighting.

Finally listening to my gut when I feel like something is off. I didn’t like how Rakule was headed so opted to redo it. I did a draw over to just discover I’d have to make the sculpt much bigger to get it to work. Didn’t want to do that so rather just scrap it. That’s the creative process baby!!

That could go wrong. Why it’s better to just make the piece be separate vs having it be all one piece. With a silicone mask you often have the armature inside which makes things complicated. Wouldn’t want things to be misaligned, or interfere with filling the mold. Could make several pieces to

Unfortunately the foam would delaminate from the silicone. There are ways around it, such as pressing cotton or bits of fabric into the silicone, so the foam has something to grip too. Silicone foam also exists but it’s heavy. All that said the way the mold is made there are a lot of factors -

Also completely side note- wouldn’t it be cool to add color changing powder to silicone so when you stand out in the sun the scales change color? Just like a real lizard.
