Riot Games is accused of actively suppressing any negative comments related to Mastercard or otherwise mentioning the anti-game/NSFW censorship movement on its esports broadcasts.

The decision to do so was reportedly made internally, according to an obtained statement.

if it feels like art and art criticism's power is being rapidly diminished this is why. big financiers are largely not putting money into it - they're putting money into forces oppositional to it, for the most part. this also means they can't really utilize it effectively for propaganda either.

the people who said that aren't wasn't important or can't change things were only ever telling you half of the story. the lesson here is that material circumstances change and they have shifted to where art is a venue that is largely being ignored and underutilized culturally by the powers that be
