So apparently, Amazon is struggling on how to bring back James Bond after he died. Setting aside the "it's just a moniker" argument, how about we take that hot new 007 from the last film and make a Jane Bond? Because I'd watch a whole series of her being a badass with no complaints.

Okay...turkey and potato filling, with a cranberry glaze. Too crazy?

It's the first season, and the second will be Pluribu2. Season three is expected to be Pluri3us.

My final verdict? Three films out of four that I loved, plus a bag of lollipops, and an audience who seemed ready to share the experience together. 5 of 5 stars, and I'm ready for a new marathon next year.

Vampyr: A 1932 German vampire movie from a Danish director that was digitally remastered with a "new" soundtrack from the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bologna. A vampire movie that has amazing acting, good special effects, and multiple moments of True Horror. Quite good.

Presence: not so much horror as supernatural suspense, this one left me asking "what's the point," right up until they get to the point. Then I said, "Okay, that was pretty good." Would watch again.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: due to friends and folks online reviewing this, I avoided it for years out of concern that it's too gory. Turns out, it's a damn fine horror movie that's not afraid to dip into Teh Politics. An absolute Must-Watch horror film.

Skinamarink: not for me, and judging by the number of people snoring throughout the film, I'd say it didn't work for quite a few folks. Without subtitles, I'd have never known what was going on. The only film of the night not to get any applause.

Retro spotlight: Gradius: The Interstellar Assault Unlike Gradius' first Game Boy outing, there is a whole new game here.

It's that time again: time for a look at another Gradius as part of my year-long 40th anniversary celebration of the series. This time around, it's the Game Boy's Interstellar Assault, which bucks the trends of both Gradius and this game's predecessor, Nemesis, by being original in a few ways.

The local theater has a four film marathon for Halloween. Each one is 5 euros, but the full run is 12 euros. I got my ticket now. My only issue is, how can I fit five hours of popcorn into my backpack? Leeeeet's gooooooo!

A six panel comic. In panel 1, a yellow warbler says "Hey, so I'm going to go out on a limb here". For the next four panels, it hops down along a branch. In the last panel, at the end of the branch, it sings a little song. I'm sorry.

Nero the Assassin looked good in the trailer, but the first season was brilliant. It's got court intrigue, prophecies, feisty princesses, witches, and several bad guys whose plans actually make sense. The finale sets up a second season, and I wants it so, so much.

Genndy Tartakovsky shared test footage from his film ‘The Black Knight’. It follows a knight who controls a 20ft suit of armor. Sony isn't sure there's an audience for the film and haven’t greenlit it yet.

After Kpop demon hunters success I don't understand why Sony are dragging their feet on this!

Hubby came home with con crud, so to avoid staying awake from his loud coughing, I took the inflatable bed to the office. Settled down, and instantly got an allergy attack. The antihistamines finally kicked in around 5 am, so I did myself no favors. Ahahahahahahahahahaha.

It will probably happen so fast, they won't even have time to gloat to the people not being sploded. The folks left behind, though, will have at least a weekend of cleaning that viscera out of the carpets and walls. But the sploded will be people who were insufferable anyway, so...call it a net win?

That's perfectly rational. Either they need to widen the sauce tub or narrow the chicken nugget, but either way it's a design failure.

Tuesday night, the local theater is doing a one-time only showing of Blue Velvet, VOS. (voice original, subtitled) The best part? Tickets are only 3.50. Consider me engaged for Tuesday. =^D

Swear to God, I saw this and asked "But why is he posting a pic of John Paul Allen?" Realized I was wrong, then pulled up his pic. Dude, you could almost be twins. (O_0)

Even if they don't have accents, if an actor talking too fast or too quietly, the subtitles help me so I don't have to constantly ask "what did they say?"

Here's a lovely photo of Lemonglop and Lemonbite. There's a galaxy print fabric in the background. These two are yellow fleece creatures. Lemonglop is a bit amorphous with two tentacle-like arms. She has three red eyes and green eyeshadow. She has an open oval mouth with six sharp teeth. Lemonbite is taller than Lemonglop. Lemonbite has three blue eyes, two tentacle-like arms, and an enormous mouth with seven large teeth.

Meet Lemonglop and Lemonbite Fuzziface the Evil Sorcerers. I designed and sewed them. While Lemonglop enjoys doling out curses as much as the next Fuzziface, she's very kind-hearted and her spells end up helping the cursed in a reverse monkey paw kind of situation.
