Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:
βThe ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

I know John Le Carre's "The Honorable Schoolboy" kind of splits fans as it is a bit of a sprawling mass of a book. But I'm finding all the chapters on the bureaucracy of Whitehall and the Circus are super soothing for drifting off to sleep to.
Maybe I need a bureaucracy genre booklist...
Pope Leo in Dilexi te: Christians who βdismiss or ridicule charitable works, as if they were an obsession on the part of a few and not the burning heart of the Churchβs mission, convinces me of the need to go back and re-read the Gospel, lest we risk replacing it with the wisdom of this world.β

As to why its so compelling - they do a tonne of messing around of inversions in the bass line, so alternative root notes

Cultivate a couple of hobbies. Ideally, things that have nothing to do with your day job and that bring you joy, even if you're not great at them.

Has anyone got any useful methods for beginning a conversation on common values in a leadership team/trustees?
Especially things that your team have actually found helpful (given that not everyone leaps into the air for joy with this kind of activity...)
Quite.
