The hotel inventory is interesting. One of the reasons we have always ended up in a slightly bigger home than we really need is because of the desire for a guest room for visiting family. I'd gladly exchange that for reasonable hotel options nearby, which would also lower STR demand.

At least VB makes an attempt to build some token bike/pedestrian infrastructure, unlike Portsmouth. But there's also the fact that VB fought tooth and nail against the Tide LR extension largely for overtly racist reasons.

Maybe it has something to do with being able to step out the door and go for a 4 mile run on paths and sidewalks without dodging maniacs doing 75mph on a 25mph side street that still doesn't have sidewalks because you don't want "those people" in your neighborhood. I'M NOT BITTER AT ALL.

Families living along Duke Street today, who fought for the coming improvements, should be able see the fruits of their own advocacy. Not get pushed out for new residents to reap what we have sown

The only way to do that is to build more homes here and welcome those newcomers to enjoy it with us
