Someone tried to rally /r/minnesota to bring back the old state flag. Reddit ratio’d them so hard the post was deleted in under 20 minutes.

Kids would probably be allowed out by themselves more if people weren’t driving 40 miles per hour through family neighborhoods and the local NextDoor busybody wasn’t calling child protection.

There was a passenger, but the driver was absent. As I past the driver came out of the building and I let him know.

if you are mad at people on bikes because they are biking where you're walking, you are almost certainly actually mad at cars

20 in Minneapolis! There is no reason to drive faster than that on residential streets.

It’s a mental fight for sure… I’ll have anxiety either way.

I did something! I rode indoors for 45 minutes, lifted some weights, and now I’m in the sauna listening to the rain.

Woke up at 4. Watched the #thunderstorm. Made coffee at 4:30. Kids woke up around 5:30 and 6:30. Little dog woke up at 7:10. Big dog is still sleeping. I guess I should do something productive.

Go down Blaisdale Avenue in Minneapolis sometime. Even a curb doesn’t stop car drivers from parking in the bike lane. Hell, at Blaisdale and Lake I see cars driving down the sidewalk level bike path all the time. It’s absolutely absurd. I’m honestly not sure why it’s so blatant on that street.

I’m not saying I would smash every driver-side window with my U-lock… but I’m also not saying I wouldn’t. This is enraging.

Our 5 year old just figured out her pedal bike 2 weeks ago. Today she biked a mile home from summer camp and then biked up and down our block for 3 hours during national night out. 🚴‍♀️🤯

She showed up to our national night out and tried to bribe us with free ice cream for the kids at their office 😒

There are a few at drop off, but I was the only one at pick up mid-day yesterday.

Just yesterday I talked to a person who’s never seen a cargo bike that was picking up a kid from a summer program at an MPS school.
