Fair, I still use Windows 99% of the time, albeit reluctantly lol

That said, the main reason I haven't fully switched to linux is just compatibility. I have a bunch of software and peripherals which only work on Windows.
If I just needed my PC for gaming, I'd at least give linux a proper shot.

Fair point, but what I'm getting at is that macOS is straight up designed maliciously. It doesn't matter that it's more secure when that security is mostly performative and only really exists to inconvenience people into giving up and fully switching to the apple ecosystem.

MacOS has everything you just complained about, and has arbitrary limitations on compatability with non-apple devices. I doubt you'd sooner use a mac.
