I would resubmit the hub ticket. I've also had luck tracking down the email of the person who made the response and emailing them directly with the correction. Go up the chain from there. This is misinformation that needs to be corrected.

You are correct. Here is a sign that is actually not MUTCD-compliant though.

Rick is legendary for Nashville urban progress.

One notable achievement was urbanizing the planned Korean Veterans Boulevard downtown and preventing it from becoming a much more dangerous 6-lane interstate connector.

I am grateful for his service and hopeful our leaders will continue his legacy.

When I lived in Glasgow 2006-2009 no one bicycled. Of course- because it was cold, dark, and rainy in Scotland all the time- nobody ever would.

Put in safe, connected infrastructure, and people will ride.

We treat the time of people in motor vehicles as a precious commodity that must be conserved at all costs, while the time of people outside of motor vehicles is infinitely expendable.

A commenter asked that we stop using “make eye contact” signs at intersections.

I strongly agree. Abide by traffic rules. Motorists regularly have high tint on windows or are so buried in their phones that “making eye contact” is impossible.

Depends if you think seconds stacked up across the network count. Traffic engineers definitely do, and that's how they win.

Most of the MUTCD is guidance "should" not "shall." Additionally, we are not legally beholden to the MUTCD like the state department is. So from the city level it's really only there to be used as an excuse.

I've never seen it done well, but it'd be better than nothing.

Additionally, there is NOTHING saying we can't slow cars on arterials.
