Sometimes, you may not meet someone’s standards with your talent.

Maybe they might change their mind in the future. Or they still won’t bother casting you.

But that shouldn’t let you shy away from where you shine your talent on.

Had this experience earlier which made me question myself.

Honestly when waking up yesterday morning, I felt lame after not making it onto something while I saw several VAs I worked with make it. Felt like I wasn’t good enough at all.

Maybe it was just for that project. But oh well. Been booking a lot lately anyway.

Now, things feel much lighter. I feel like the weight of being depressed has got off of me.

Don’t really know how it happened. All that did happen is that I spoke with a doctor for a couple of years, and had advice from friends, family, coworkers, even some of you. ❤️

I was able to gain my shifts back eventually. But I still wasn’t out of this shadow of doubt and deep grief. As I still had hatred over my parents, and these thoughts carried on to my work, resulting in arguments with my co workers, and constant venting online.

2024, I nearly took my own life. Twice.

Thought it was going to be the end of it all. Like I wasn’t going to make it past 27.

Beginning of 2025, I didn’t have a job, and had only $500 in my pocket.

Luckily I wasn’t homeless. But I did have my parents to argue with. :(

The depression carried out at work, and online. Making me less approachable as time went on. But also, I wasn’t careful with my own finances either. As last year and the start of this year was the very last straw.

This started as early as 2022, as I lost my grandparents that year from both sides of the family. Following year, a new side of me came out. A side of me that was not very nice.

Most of this involved frequent arguments with my parents, that resulted in depression.
