While there were no injuries reported at the scene, locals have been advised to keep doors and windows closed due to the "thick smoke".

The fire was under control by 6:04pm. London Fire Brigade say the cause of the fire is "under investigation".

LFB says it dispatched 25 fire engines after receiving a 999 call at 2:24pm — the first of 33. Richmond Road was quickly closed as the emergency services tackled dark smoke coming from the burning "disused building," using two 32-metre ladders to help control the fire.
