similarly there are quest lines for the NPCs and multiple endings to the game. All in all cool game and I want now Nitroplus to make another one of these because I feel with what they learned here they can take this idea even higher.

with unusual melodies and progressions, one of ZIZZ Studio better works in my opinion. The story following its souls inspiration is obtuse and requires observation and reading through the backstory found in objects and the few NPCs you find,

and your character has good movement speed so traversing the huge structures feels just right. The music is also fantastic, though sparsely used, only plays in boss fights, its mostly strings and feminine choirs mixed with industrial percussion and guitar embodying the strangeness of the setting

mostly a steel and concrete biome that feels daunting whenever you reach a new area with your little android girl, lost as to where to go. The stages are a bit desolate given their size but I think they really accomplish making this world feeling empty yet oppressive,

The artistic direction is great, the game really looks beautifully desolate showing a world where humanity stopped being the consideration, this is a world of machines, looming brutalist structures cover the horizon with little to no biology in sight,

instead of jsut going full guns blazing, but I felt the game could've had a bit more resistance to the player in the combat specifically outside boss combat. Lots of ways to customize your character despite being a rather short game for different play styles.

The combat is rather on the easier side, specially towards the late game when you can upgrade your weapons set with something you are comfortable with, the game balances this a little with sparse checkpoints and a resource system that will keep you checking how are you using your weapons

Dolls Nest cannot be described as any other thing than Armored Core like customization with Souls (specifically Demons) level design and approach to its story and setting, and it really shows that it can be a winner formula that From Software for some reason wouldn't execute themselves.

I knew about the book being important for feminism and for mental health criticism and discourses but these racist instances flashbanged me.

There are some unfortunate racist passages in the book however which marred the experience of an otherwise beautifully written book, there is this really bad paragraph about a black nurse that is extremely bad even by its time standards and it literally is of no consequence for the book among others

Plath here also offers a very no-nonsense and critical read of marriage and sexuality and there is this thread in the book on the connection of sex and death, and how for the protagonist one or the other will be painful, disgusting, but also liberating and something that thoroughly obsesses her.

with just a thread going through them and looking at what happens around you with a distorted lens that looks into yourself through the reflection of the world, like a semi-trasnparent glass that distorts the outside world and shows your unwanted visage at the same time, the bell jar.

Beautifully written, Plath has a strength in her word that makes feel a lot of passages in this book very beautiful and raw, I feel like it perfectly encompasses the way depression sometimes feels, like you are being haunted by particular disconnected episodes in your life

I rarely punish a game for doing an after where most of the ero goes in in an extra menu but something about this particular instance bothered me and made me think less of the game overall but is still a mostly good game.
