Hiding in my bluestem goldenrod. :0)

Fireflies are one of my favorite parts of Michigan summers.
25.07.2025 21:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Mulch volcanoes sure do a great job of killing trees. All because they donโt like the looks of the bottom of the trunkโฆ I guess.

I think this is an African Pygmy goose. One of my favorite birds at the Detroit zoo. Near the exit of the aviary, a lot of people overlook him. :0)

Virginia tiger moth just outside our front landscaping that we replaced with natives. It looks a little wild and unkempt because it is supposed to. :0)

My daughter climbed down a rickety ladder that looked like tetanus and found an eastern tiger salamander in an old wellhead.

These guys are on a โdeadโ tree. Life and death are almost a continuum in the woods.

Dr. Adrien photographed adult female mountain #gorilla Gahuza feeding on vines with her baby during a recent health check on Kwitonda group in Volcanoes NP, Rwanda. She was coughing every so often but her activity levels were within normal limits. She will continue to be closely monitored.
