I've intentionally hardcoded around 2.4 seconds of delay for animations and another 0.25 just cause I can... but otherwise my game is a bit slow to load by default ๐Ÿ˜…

I am on an older HDD, and my game has to load 3D scenes. But it's likely a skill issue on my part as to why it's a bit slow.

I guess if you take the most polished stuff I have and put it all together, you get this.

Still, this is just prototyping and fooling around in the engine. I don't know if it precisely represents the "future" of the project.

I'm not sure what your level design process looks like, but I get a diorama esq look by flipping the normals of the exterior geometry making up my level mesh and Godot mostly handles the rest?

Was there a specific reason this didn't work for your use case? (Beautiful game btw O.o)

Just add that feature you've been thinking about. It's not scope creep, you wanted to add it from the beginning anyway. Don't worry about the roadmap, everyone does this all the time. It won't hurt.

I'm mostly using Godot's `store_var()` method, but I'm still working out a way to completely avoid saving objects. Now that I say that, I should make note of the object data I need to further serialize.
