Utterly despicable.

Standing with my Jewish neighbours in the rain close to Heaton Park Shul. Antisemitism has been on the rise. When I go to Mass, there’s no security on the door. My kids don’t have drills to prepare for a possible attack. We can’t defeat hate with more hate, only with love, togetherness and action.

We got a leaflet about a local redevelopment. One of the benefits listed in this message to local residents, is a “delivering a net gain in biodiversity”. Who signs this stuff off ffs.

Our thoughts, love and solidarity are with the people affected by the heinous attack on the Heaton Park synagogue, and to the whole Jewish community in Manchester, Bury and across the country marking this holy and solemn day of Yom Kippur.

Antisemitism, hate and division can never win.

Ready for change: public support for action on child poverty Earlier today, I hit send on a briefing paper to MPs and other key decision makers on new polling we commissioned on child poverty. I thought I’d share the key findings here too.

We've just sent new polling to MPs. I wrote it up here, but the TL;DR is: opposition to scrapping the two-child benefit cap has evaporated and has strong support with Labour voters, and voters back higher taxes on gambling companies to help kids in need. www.linkedin.com/pulse/ready-...
