The finale! We made it to the end of October and what a ride it's been! Tomorrow is Halloween so make sure to stay safe trick or treating!

The Christmas section was set up the same day the Halloween section was and it was already twice the size. It's Home Depot, so they don't really sell candy other than near checkout. What upsets me more is taking down the simple paper decorations we had around the checkout area

My store has already taken down its Halloween section and nearly all of the Halloween decorations.

I'd argue that it's the artist's intention to make something sexually suggestive or not. People are gonna have their own unique feelings and reactions to art, whether it's your intention to have a specific feeling or not is up to the artist

Halloween costume - tomorrow

📔? - Halloween day

Come release and my PlayStation friends want to play it? Easy buy, no question.

But buying the game for myself? A remake of my top favorite childhood video game? A major improvement from the last graphical remaster? I just don't think so yet. Not in this state.

Also it's missing the EpicNostalgBalz Sauce

It's just frustrating seeing Halo Studios miss the mark for the visual direction after getting it so right in Halo Infinite. And again, prioritizing photorealism over performance has been a recurring issue with Unreal 5 games.

I really hope for the best, but preparing to accept the worst.

The Covenant were brightly colored for a reason. The player instantly gets information on the species and rank of each enemy. In Campaign Evolved, despite being the same colors, they're now hard to see among the foliage and unnecessary bloom effects.

I would've been completely stoked if the game had the same balance of graphical fidelity and artistic direction that Halo Infinite did. Art style not only affects the feel and timelessness of a game, but also has a big role in optical feedback for the player.

There are not many games I can play with my PlayStation friends, and I would love to play a childhood favorite of mine with them.

However, I'm worried that this is gonna be another game that sacrifices art style, physics mechanics, and most importantly performance for unnecessary photorealism.

I have a lot of feelings and opinions about Halo Campaign Evolved, mostly of disappointment and concern, but I'll try to be constructive and ignore nostalgia.

Starting with the positive, I'm really happy that it's coming to PS5 with the goal of cross-platform co-op.

to clarify, I don't want to be antagonistic. But what does frustrate me is how what originally influenced and informed the design of everything from CE was wholly inspired by other forms of media, not inspired by itself.

All it takes is returning to those roots, that's the fix. Genuinely.
