I’m really thinking about Dragon Quest VII remake today. It’s a bit of an oddball in the series but I love the structure and vibes. Collecting all the map pieces to make your world more lively and full again is My Kinda Narrative. Plus I love the way the remake looks.

Yeah, go check out the windmill! That’s so exciting to have a game that does have the space to see something like that that feels like an organic discovery. Especially compared to Skyrim (which I like!) this is much less organic vs the theme park vibes of the later stuff.

I hope there is! We all mock the idea of “see that mountain, you can climb it” but the games that DO let you see something and Get To It are always fun.
