A forever favorite!

I picked up Metal From Heaven because it made NPR's Books We Love 2024....but I have to admit I only made it about 40% of the way through. Hoping to pick it back up sometime.

We do not need any more cats. Period. End of Story.

But he is cute.

I'd love to talk. I have some insight that may be of help. And friend, I love you and you deserve all of the brightness in the world.

If you ever want to talk, you know where I'm at. And I do understand. My metabolism is completely wrecked by 35 years of restriction, so it's not likely that my body will ever change.

At one point I was working with a psychiatrist, a therapist and two dietitians - one for gut health and one for ED. It took a lot of really hard work to be able to claim recovery status. Worth it.

Six years into recovery after 35 years of an eating disorder. There is light at the other side! (And yep, I knew it was bad, but it was still a shock when my psychiatrist diagnosed me.)

My absolute favorite to play is Patty Griffin's Oh Heavenly Day, but the song I worked hardest on this year - and so took the top spot - is Done by Frazey Ford.

My Spotify wrapped is always hilariously skewed towards songs I learn on my ukulele because I love playing along with the original.

My mom recently sent me a box full of my childhood art and school projects, and it has me totally rethinking my relationship to the many bins I have in my basement of my daughters' papers.

Seriously.

Remember, if someone has the audacity to say that spending the weekend reading, drinking multiple cups of tea, and consuming a copious amount of cinnamon rolls “doesn’t sound exciting”, then it may be time to reassess their place in your life.

Our daughters will continue to be frustrated that I use neither.

Just a work day today, but Im definitely going to appreciate the holiday cactus I took to my office last week. It’ll be my happy all day. And then tonight a good book to finish the day!
