How it feels watching the automaton shenanigans going on in HD2 and on the official discord

Well that’s a good start. Going to have to postpone to tomorrow or Saturday depending on how I’m feeling. A headache that is been dealing with all afternoon has suddenly intensified and streaming doesn’t feel like a good idea.

The other issue being that Amazon are the ones with the rights (as far as I’m aware) to the 40K project that Cavill is involved in so ultimately they’re the ones dictating the pace and as above, could sue Cavill into the ground for copyright (and maybe IP related reasons too) again, AFAIK.

This means that if Cavill did go ahead and try to make his own series/movie, GW could sue him massively for copyright infringement. Though AFAIK GW are with Cavill and want to see him do well with it.

Having to explain to a friend who is also a 40K fan that I’d LOVE Cavill to do with 40K what Markiplier has managed with Iron Lung.
However there are reasons sadly why Cavill can’t.

The first being that 40K is a Games Workshop property.

Farage has always shied away from proper scrutiny. On top of that the latest prank against him has also proven that he’ll say anything without any sort of due diligence into what he’s being paid to say.

While I’m looking forward to The Expanse: Osiris Reborn I can’t help but worry about how much the trailers seem to have ramped up without any release date in sight.

In terms of social media, I will be using Twitter a lot less in future after their most recent update which, as far as I’m concerned, screws over artists completely. Expect me to be more active both here and on threads in the future.

This will be for the foreseeable future until I save up enough to get a decent PC that can actually stand up to the load of streaming (the laptop only has about 8GB of RAM so can’t hack it.)

A quick update Twitch wise:

When I get back to the UK I will most likely wait until February before trying to stream so that I’ve shaken off the jet lag.
On top of that as it’s become clear that my laptop can’t cope with running OBS and trying to deal with streams it’ll be direct from the PS5.

Me looking at pc specialist and browsing parts for a PC like huh… this is suspiciously cheaper than I was expecting.

Spots the graphics card category and one tweak later: yep the price has just jumped to where I expected it to be!

Something I don’t see talked about often enough with AI: the sheer amount of water that is consumed to cool the data centres that generate the images and text.

I played all day once it was downloaded I was having that much fun.

Yeesh, aside from the assault on Emiru and the lack of proper security for her, I am hearing nothing good about the Twitch con that took place a short while ago.

Well… I’d hoped to get an afternoon stream in but the truck that I’m waiting on to load at work is late so no luck there.
