Last weekend's sunrise view from the Nock Mountains towards the Karawanks mountain range. This peak is the Mittagskogel or Kepa in Slovenian.
With a hight of 2,145 metres (7,037 ft) it is the third highest mountain in the Karawanks.

It's the time of year when I more often look down on the ground than into the wider vista. When the trees become bare and the colour leaves the landscape, you still can find nice scenes, and I especially love such little compositions Mother Nature offers my eyes from time to time.

Less and less leaves on the trees, but I found some in Italy this morning 😊

I almost missed the Autumn, but this morning I found a little bit of it's colour in Slovenia 😃🍂

After posting so many sunrise photos I think it's time for another wildlife photo. This young Ibex didn't care about me standing close to it and continued cleaning itself :)
I shot this photo during my hike back down from Mangart mountain in Triglav National Park in Slovenia a couple of weeks ago.

This photo was taken a little later than the latest posted images I've taken on the summit of Hochstadel towards the sunrise.
The sun had already risen and the first sun rays have reached lake Weißensee. To the right, far behind the mountain layers, you can see Dobratsch with the transmitter tower.

Großglockner in the last sunlight: I have taken this photo the evening before I took the photo from yesterday's post.
It shows the mountain Großglockner catching the last sunlight of the day. At 3,798 metres (12,461 ft), it is the highest mountain in Austria.

Turquoise lake "Lago Di Sorapis" in the Italian Dolomites surrounded by mighty mountains under blue skies.

Lago di Sorapis in the Italian Dolomites: it's as well one of the most beautiful as one of the most crowded lakes. I hiked there way before sunrise and so I have had it for me alone ... at least for a short while.

Stormy skies over dark mountains in the Julian Alps, but a little gap opened between the mountains and let bright orange sunrise colour shine through.

Yesterday's sunrise from the summit of the mountain Cima del Lago in Italy, on which I've spent a wet and stormy night. This little gap in the storm clouds lasted only a few minutes.

In addition to my last photo taken from Mangart mountain in Triglav National Park in Slovenia: stormy skies at sunrise over the Julian Alps and Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia and in the Julian Alps, was touching the dark clouds.

This was my view on Saturday morning after a short hike in the Nockberge mountain range at home in Carinthia, Austria.
The colour didn't last long because dark storm clouds soon blocked the rising sun.

I made a short walk to a waterfall in the Maltatal valley this morning and came across this scene - the bubbles and debris in the water came out quite nice after a 20 second exposure. The waterfall was shot with an exposure of 0.3 sec.

I got soaked while I've taken this photo at about 8 in the morning on the summit of Falkert mountain because it was pouring down, but the view towards the Nockberge mountain range was fantastic.

The river Možnica (or Nemčlje) at it's source after hiking up the beautiful Korita Možnice / Možnica Gorges.

I took this photo last weekend in the Garnitzenklamm, a beautiful gorge near Hermagor in Carinthia.

The smoke from forest fires overseas caused a very hazy sunset, and the clouds only let the sun shine through now and again.
