To protect Alberta children, the UCP is removing their human rights and the ability of their parents, teachers, and physicians to protect them.

In just 6 years, the UCP has been responsible for nearly half of all time allocation motions in Alberta history.
They're promising to do it again today, this time ramming through a bill that removes Charter rights in a matter of hours.
The legislation is supposed to embargoed until tabled, but if this is accurate…
Smith is invoking the notwithstanding clause to force teachers back to work.
Which is an admission that she is violating charter rights.
It is a dark day in Alberta.

Covid is not over.
People are still dying and becoming disabled every day.
We rushed “back to normal” for the economy, not because the threat had passed.

Mitigations like masks, anti virals, air purifiers and tests cost money.
We should have free respirators in public places. Mandatory masking in hospitals. Clean air benchmarks. Paid time off.
Those steps would drastically reduce spread.

Safe and close access to emergency medical care shouldn't depend on your postal code. Alberta needs to build capacity and safe staffing in public health care so people in communities like Fort Macleod don't have to drive to Lethbridge or Pincher Creek to get to an Emergency Department.

Our “rush back to normal” has devastated millions of lives
It’s a novel virus. We don’t know the full long term effects, but what we do know isn’t encouraging

Wear a mask. Clean the air. Get vaccinated.
Reminder:
Bruce McAllister doesn’t respect Albertans.
The Premier knows this and is paying him $825,000 to berate citizens in these so-called “town halls.”
We deserve better.
This is Bruce in August.
His apology might frame last nights abuse of speakers as a one off, but his contempt for Albertans isn’t a one off, it’s a pattern.
And one that Smith tolerates and endorses.
