SEIA & Wood Mackenzie reported that Solar and Storage dominate new power additions in H1 2025. Solar accounted for 56% of all new electricity-generating capacity added to the US grid. Combined, solar and storage accounted for 82% of new capacity in the first half of the year.

Spain to invest €480 million in renewables manufacturing The Spanish Ministry of Ecological Transition (MITECO) has launched a new renewables manufacturing subsidy programme.

Spain is leading Europe in prospective utility-scale solar and wind capacity, and the country plans to launch a +$550 million subsidy program to support the domestic manufacturing of clean energy technologies.
