Another test of the script, this time Rolf is actually allowed to attack. It's not looking good for Rolf, whose armour is destroyed by Urvarg's last attack.

A screenshot of Visual Studio Code which is showing a very basic game written in Python. The script is running in the terminal in the bottom half of the screen. The print statements describe what is happening in the "game". Two characters are introduced. Urvarg is introduced with the line "It's Urvarg, baby!". Rolf is introduced with "It's Rolf! Keep Rolfing Rolfing Rolfing Rolfing" in a very vague reference to Limp Bizkit. Both then introduce themselves with variations of "Rarg, I'm a scary guy, watch out for me!!! OOOooohh". Urvarg then attacks Rolf 5 times. After the 3rd one, Rolf is on 0 HP, so he should be dead, but the script isn't sophisticated enough to pick up on that.

If you're interested in reading something about AI that doesn't talk to you like you're a dog then I would highly recommend this book!

The book gives a great summary of these arguments from both a technical and a more philosophical or abstract perspective.

There's also some really good material on key Machine Learning topics like Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision and Sentiment Analysis.

An informative and enlightening read!

It's from 2019, so LLMs don't really factor in, at least not explicitly. But that's part of what I liked about it! It's good to be reminded that "AI" as a field wasn't invented 3 years ago and that there's a rich tradition of people thinking about and assessing this subject stretching back decades
