Edict Zero Universe

The first build of the new series was completed some days ago from end to end. It now enters the polishing phase, leading up to the launch this summer. In a few months, there will be more activity on the social media fronts. The last scene of the FIS series is important. Thanks to all the listeners.

Post-production for the new series has reached the tenth feature. The three finale episodes will be deep in full-time post over winter break into 2026. A long, amazing journey since it was conceived in 2023 at the University at Buffalo. More work to be done. It's something special indeed. 🥄

Some don't "get" that some things are just subjectively not for them. Fewer get that if it met their taste, there's a fair chance that it would not be for me, which means I wouldn't have created it in the first place. Recognize how that works. Just a thought from a creator.

Development continues with the new series. Post-production now focuses on the ninth feature (eight and a half hours in). Exciting times behind the heavily-layered scenes with a marvelous cast. Quaking the gods again with the creative talismans. 🥄🍳🔥🤠

The eighth feature of the new series is currently in post. With features 60-75 minutes each, that tells you how deep we're in. More than halfway there. Myth, magic, and mathematics. A bit of mayhem in the code. 🥄 "Dungeon down."

A blind listener remarking that she felt like she had experienced the visual composition of a film for the first time made my whole year. Something that never occurred to me when developing KAIROS (based on screen positions). As Agent Garrett would say: "How cool is that."

For those wondering, 2026 wasn't a typo for when the next series will launch. Quality takes time, especially when the lone post-producer balances it with grad school. There's months of development ahead. I promise the series won't be the Daikatana of audio drama (kudos if you know this reference).

Fifteen years ago, on September 9, 2010, the first episodes of the “Edict Zero – FIS” series were released. What an adventure it has been and what adventure to come!

Though it will still be some time before releases or much information is shared about it, about half of next phase Series 1 is produced and ready for polishing stages later on. The EZU is electric. It's building. Lots of things to look forward when the time comes. Thanks to all the Edict Zero fans.

If audio creators wish to ride the societal import of the word "podcasting" then they should be mindful that such terms are defined by the most popular model. Your quality content cannot compete with the lowest common denominator in a numbers game. That's what you do when you don that word.

The first two episodes were remastered, but there were no revisions to them or any others. More remasters were planned but never quite happened. As for moments you don't remember, well, there's *a lot* in every episode so not surprising. =]

I finished Edict Zero - FIS and Captain Afterland, that's 57 episodes of which most are over an hour long. It's a cyberpunk science fiction crime audiodrama, and I can't tell you the best parts of it because spoilers!

Interesting. That's odd.

Series 1 of next phase EZU is deep in production. It'll be a long one of about 11 to 12 feature episodes. A big event when the time comes with an ep released every week. That is what is known. This is just an assurance to fans that the EZ machine is running like a champion.

Offbeat, different, experimental, or boundary-pushing in art/entertainment isn't seen as viable by most creators. If you want more of that, you have to support more of that. You play it safe, they play it safe. If you want daring, dare to support the daring.
