#TTRPG friends what system would you use for uploaded post-biological intelligences?

Are there Giant Shrines that impale adventurers? 🤔 That encounter would feel unfair. Maybe the creature misses the initial grab, and the scene is about the struggle. After all the PCs do have some plot armor.

In my experience the game system used is incredibly important

Each system empowers players in different ways and has different expectations

I can run a heist with the same pitch using Leverage RPG vs using Blades in the Dark and have hugely different play experiences

I don't see why it's hard to vote for the better option.

Also demographics that are unreliable voters do not get their issues addressed.

The reason that farmers issues and senior issues are addressed is because they're reliable voters.

Being a non-voter means your issues will be ignored.

Just from the calorie energy difference alone its clear that LLMs are chasing an entirely different tech tree, and there's no guarantee that consciousness is anywhere on that tree

My bet is the failure state of LLMs will be why it's rarely used

A failure of LLM prompting just spends money with nothing usable to show for your time.

Yeah I'm not impressed with LLMs on the software side. They're marginally useful. But ultimately you need to know what you're doing, and it's very easy to waste your entire day tweaking prompts, when you could have just wrote it yourself

Random #TTRPG idea: High fantasy setting. But the players slowly unravel the truth that it's really a grim setting that is controlled by a cabal of necromancers and illusionists that keep the population unaware of the truth that a large part of the world is undead

Good morning TTRPG friends, worldbuilders and dorks of all stripes
2 Cents: pests. We've all seen the Lv 1 fantasy TTRPG trope of "go clear the rats from my shed", but we rarely interact after! What is a prolific pest in your setting? How do they hinder sentient folks, and what is done about them?

I really like the paint strokes on the sky.
