As predicted I fell right off of Blue sky the moment things in life got a bit hectic.

They still are. Just showing I have a pulse.

Now to wake up a cranky sexagenarian to make her take her pills, eat, and do physio exercises before her doctor's appointment.

I just know of a lot of work places that call themselves 'scent free zones' and some have no idea the differences between perfumes and artificial scents and more natural ones that are typically used in diffusers.

They let you do that? Or do you have your own office?

I just won Sunderfolk by Dreamhaven. I enjoyed the game and it definitely has replay value, which is necessary for a short game. Though I still regret getting it for the Switch. It would have been better on the PC I think.

Went to social at a farm the other day, and there was this cute baby powder puff masquerading as a bunny.

It is finally May. Now for me to get busy (and probably posting here less) as I help prepare my mother for knee replacement surgery. I'm not the healthiest person myself, but I'll be the one taking care of her. Fingers crossed we make it through without attempted murder.

Extremely important prompt. Memories are what make the character. I use my own memories to add little details to breathe life into their memories.

As for how my characters would feel about losing them, probably confused. If they can't remember them, they don't know what they've lost.

People without day jobs, and designed around people with actual networking skills.

Let the adrenaline run its course. But now it is time to roll up our sleeves and move forward with, as you said, kindness, grace, and competent humility. I like that. Competent humility. I may borrow it.

I don't generally talk politics. But I have to say I am relieved that the federal election in Canada is finally over. But now I don't know what to expect from our new Prime Minister, due to his lack of history in actual politics. It could go either way. I'll remain cautiously optimistic for now.

I would have been writing if I hadn't gotten too distracted by playing #videogames today. Well, and cleaning the bathroom.

I have ben playing Sunderfolk with my sister. Just kicking myself for getting it on the Switch, which makes it nearly impossible to remote play.

Well there were certainly a few cringe moments, but things that I could polish up with my current level of experience.

This sounds too much like me! Although in my case I was reading a story I wrote 18 years prior and surprised how relevant the themes remained even after so much time.

Creepy how past me knew future me so well. Am I psychic?

Sometimes I think I enjoy editing my stories more than writing them. So when I see other authors bemoan the task, I just keep quiet and smile quietly to myself.

With that in mind, back to editing my 5th (technically my 6th but the first draft is lost to me) draft of Waiting For Sunrise.

Nothing like a challenge to get the wheels turning again.

One day I will bother commissioning a proper cover artist. For now I just have my free photo editor. Although similar to the previous cover, I tweaked this a bit. Some still say it looks like a romance cover, but I refuse to give up the silhouette.

That is probably for the best. I took more than a decade break from writing, but it's what I needed.
Although to be fair, I wasn't published, I was just a hobby writer so it wasn't like I have any contracts to fulfill or many readers to disappoint.

Dang, again and again, I wish I lived in Iceland.

Ooops. Well maybe that got you writing again, but not working on novels. Maybe write some back story for the novel that won't be included? Or side scenes?

I started writing an anthology of short stories, ranging from 2.5-5k words.I only got about 4 done but it helped.

Good. I am glad to see this progress.

Okay, I usually stay the heck out of political posts (why am I even on here?) but this got a chuckle out of me.

I hope that comes with very clearly defined definition of cruelty.

So when de-clawing becomes considered animal cruelty, will vets have to rat themselves out for offering it?

I am long-winded so writing a story under 2,500 words was indeed a challenge. Then again, writing posts on here is a challenge as well.

And sometimes that happiness can come in the form of actions of others - though we best not wait around or expect that. Happiness takes investment.

Oh absolutely. It require a lot of editing and removing things, especially reference to real people. But I still think dreams can be just such awesome and bizarre experiences it is hard to not share them sometimes.

Ah, well in that case, no, the cover does not suit it at all. But I was going off of "first impression knowing nothing but seeing the cover for the first time" perspective.
