Working through a training and noticing that most of the scams/attacks involve email. Given how much of a time waste email is in general, I wonder if the cost/benefit of email is approaching the cost/benefit of more personal communications (like phone calls or in-person meetings)?

Imagine a world where we cared as much about the water/land/wilderness as we do about the artificial colors in processed food.

Deleting reoccurring meetings from my calendar is a part of my spring break prep that I really enjoy.

I'm using it more generally as ways to engage studeny but you could certainly connect to SMP.

There are sessions about engagement at WMC, NCTM, etc. but also other sessions about various topics. I'm just wondering if there is a very narrowly focused conference/gathering/summit

I really wish the good folks at @npr.org and other news orgs would include percent whenever talking about a stock market. Without the percent, it can make things seem important when they are just noise in the data.

What has been interesting in working on this project is the number of times that conversations in my daily life seem to intersect with things I've been writing and thinking about. #personalfinance #educators
