'I want you home, dad': Searching for the missing 50 years after Vietnam War's end
Fifty years after the end of the Vietnam War, one Seattle man embarks on a journey to a remote mountain in Laos where his father was last seen during a secret mission in the war.
The Vietnam War ended 50 years ago this week, and it still reverberates loudly for many.
I traveled to Laos with a man who wanted to visit the site of a secret radar station on a remote hill where is dad was last seen. #VietnamWar #DPAA #Laos #Vietnam

Associated Press blocked from Oval Office for not using ‘Gulf of America’
The White House had threatened to bar the news organization from Tuesday's event, a top editor said, if it did not change their guidance on the body of water.
I can't recall it ever happening, but does anyone know if the Chinese government has blocked media from an event over language -- b/c they didn't refer to Taiwan as "Taiwan, China", or Second Thomas Shoal as "Ren ai jiao", or Tibet as "Xizang", etc?

🔊 Listen Now: October Israeli strike in Gaza was much deadlier than reported, according to testimony
All Things Considered on NPR One | 7:35
Important work by my colleague Daniel Estrin, who found one of the most catastrophic Israeli strikes in Gaza killed more people than reported - and it’s been up to families themselves to record the dead. 9 nuclear families killed. one.npr.org/i/nx-s1-5227...

We lost an absolute legend today, a one-of-a-kind journalist, colleague and friend. My thoughts are with his family in Hanoi, where I am confident someone soon will raise a frosty glass of bia hoi in his honor. (Like the ones in this photo, from the last time we were together.)
