At @jird-jour.bsky.social, we have implemented a new AI policy that clarifies what is allowed and what is not. In the latest editorial, @ajdah.bsky.social and I introduce this policy, discuss what is at stake, and explicate our rationale as editors.

We compare national quantum technology governance strategies with expert insights, showing that while both emphasize innovation and infrastructure, national frameworks underplay critical ethical, societal, and security concerns.

from an editorial perspective, there are a few scenarios to explain this admittedly shitty experience: maybe there was a change in the editorial team? maybe the other paper had in fact been sitting in the pipeline for an extended time? maybe a different editor gave the desk reject?
