The president is screening a movie about his third wife and crying about a lawsuit challenging his guilded ballroom, while good-hearted Americans looking out for their neighbor are getting murdered by state police. Will Americans finally wake up?

Well said, Rui. Adam was one of a kind. Gentle, warm, funny, genuine, and smart. His ability to cut through bullshit and see the big picture catalyzed great science wherever he went. He loved life and shared his joy generously. A huge inspiration. Thanks for all the beautiful memories, my friend!

28.08.2025 17:38 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0..democracy often erodes slowly at first... But with each concession, autocrats become bolder, defenses grow weaker, and reversal becomes harder. Responses that, early on, can feel pragmatic—waiting it out, remaining silent, cutting a deal—only embolden autocrats, leading to the demise of democracy.
