Sorry for the long-winded response. I'm not here to stoke negativity. This interests me, and I'd like a dialog if you do too.

In regards to the Shontel Brown "never ran a negative campaign" talking point. Watch timestamp 12:50 when they open for questions. The first question was directly challenging their claim. Just watch their reaction. They're not there to have a dialog but rather to endorse her full-heartedly.

Also the comments highlight other sentiments from locals. They understand that this Public Relations event was organized by Shontel Brown's campaign office. Watch it yourself to see if you walk away with a better understanding of civil policy.

It's a long video but the pastor was against any negative ad messaging (although that's not uncommon in politics) and his conclusion was to vote for Shontel Brown. The rest of the pastors all endorsed Brown unanimously based on her personality. No policy-related differences were mentioned.

That's interesting. I would like to know what these pastors said.

Adapting and pivoting is counter-productive if it entails selling the people short--as is often the case with centrist/moderate republican Democrats. Leftist ideas are popular until the ads on TV say otherwise.

The way I see it, her loss was more an external influence than it was "the people said no". Propaganda unfortunately undermines the peoples' good sense. Shontel Brown was the perfect obfuscation to box out Nina Turner.
