Whatever is going on, no matter the politics, they need not have been there and this will be used to ramp up authoritarianism. I find the timing suspicious, it's giving false flag. Either way I hope the folks stuck in the middle and exposed for no good reason truly aren't dead.

These two things are true:

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Nevada is similar, basically purple because of weird libertarian vibes meeting with city diversity. Heavy with Mormons but also Sin City. They know where their income comes from though.

Is this not a major factor in why most local councils are barely solvent or bankrupt? They keep having to make up budgeting shortfalls. Some daft choices by our local council contribute to their budget issues, but trying to maintain standards with less seems a large factor.

I do not disagree, Scotland deserves to benefit more from it's disproportionately large contribution to the gdp. Teachers and support staff deserve more funding & higher pay. The parent council in our school have been a real boon for resources, but they shouldn't have to be.

That last paragraph is a real doozy. Orders are presumed to be lawful? No, no, they aren't, if they are clearly unlawful the presumption of lawfulness isn't a thing saving anybody.
