Reports that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio presented a Kremlin-originated “peace plan” to Ukraine—without clear authorship—raise troubling questions.
Peace cannot be built on ambiguous or manipulated proposals.

The Kyiv Independent is reporting that Trump envoy Steve Witkoff is "running a shadow operation inside the White House in an effort to sideline pro-Ukraine officials", cutting out Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in an effort supported by Vice President J.D. Vance.

What a shit show. Everyone could see this plan was written by the Kremlin. Adopted by Witkoff and Trump who demanded Ukraine accept it by this Thursday. After a firestorm of objections by Europe and Republican senators it appears Rubio wants to distance himself from it.

The plot keeps twisting. After having first said that the plan was Russian, not drafted by the US, Rubio a few hours later said the plan was drafted by the US, not Russia.
