I’m sick and tired of hearing nothing but the US elections. It’s been dominating the Dutch news for months. Enough!

And of course, the participation of other countries... I can fully endorse the ESC non-political commitment. However, even *saying* that you're non-political is political. I wonder if I'll be able to enjoy it next year. This year was definitely a smudge, to put it mildly.

So, my home country of Netherlands is returning to the hornet's nest that is the Eurovision Song Contest next year. Got to admit, part of me wishes we would skip a year. I hope I can find my enthusiasm for it again, it's such a nice thing follow and keep my mind off things in the winter.

I discovered a new pet peeve today.

Being asked: "How are you?", and kinda being expected to answer "Good, and how are you?" When you really just think "I'm depressed, sleep deprived and I really want to skip the pleasantries. Mind your own business, Carol."

This morning was 10 degrees, this afternoon 16. I therefore officially declare plaid season open! 🍂

I forgot how horrible Dutch trains are on Saturday night. Add to that a 50 minute delay on my way home. I want my bed… 😴

Worst thing is, I know what to do, I know how to take care of my mental health. But that in itself requires sacfifices because of cancelling plans or activities which are good for other parts of mental health. Mainly friendship, or sport. Bah. Where's my blanket?

Why is it always when I'm honestly doing better, there are days or weeks where I feel like I'm constantly battling relapses or fighting to prevent them? It's exhausting. 🥺 #depression #adhd

I hate how some stores only has AI taking care of their 'support'. Tried filing 3 different tickets now, the original one was closed because they thought it was 'resolved', reopening 2 other ones ended up in them closing said tickets because I had to respond to the first. WHICH THEY CLOSED. >_>

You know you're an adult when you get excited about reducing your phone bill from 35 to 21 EUR a month and getting a 50 EUR cashback.
