I can't wrap my head around heirloom furniture. My parents emigrated to Canada from Hong Kong and so everything they own is IKEA. A friend had to move a grandfather clock x-country and it blew my mind 😅

The talk about vanishing third spaces makes me grateful for the office food court near me that's open on wknds - it's always full of chattering seniors and students doing group work. I've also seen ppl playing board games and once, folding origami. Amazing how a mundane space serves the community.
