Some random notes about the process:
- snipping a bit of the fur pile behind each spot helps it to lay more flat
- a 4mm running stitch seems to work well, but time will tell how durable it will be
- sewing with black thread against black fur kind of sucks but it’s worth it!

Inspired by Phoenix Nest’s post on topstitching spots, I’ve been attempting to stitch my spots on by hand. So much easier, quicker, and hopefully more durable!

I have a more detailed explanation on my instagram, but I sculpted eyes following Kazplay’s globe eyes tutorial, hollowed out the backing a bit, then just glued a small square of photo-reflective 3M tape to the foam backing before gluing it together!

Finished interior padding and installing eyes and eyelids!

The reflective eyes, adapted from Kazplay’s globe eyes, were a fantastic success! Below is a comparison of pictures taken with and without flash.

Tail finished! Featuring a small hidden zipper and a hidden belt loop adapted from @pawsitivity_creations on Insta! Working on head and feet paws now 🪡
