The wheels are falling off British Airways, literally! A British Airways (BA/BAW) flight from Las Vegas to London Heathrow suffered a bizarre event yesterday when one of the main wheels separated from the aircraft after departing Las Vegas and whilst the gear was retracting. In video, widely shared in the Internet, the Airbus A350 is seen departing in a normal fashion from Las Vegas and climbing out when a wheel detaches from the main bogey and falls to the ground. The video was captured by Flightradar24's automated live stream. The Airbus A350-1000 continued on with its planned flight and landed safely on 11 main wheels at London Heathrow Airport (LHR/EGLL). An image, widely shared on social media, shows the A350s main bogey with the missing wheel. A spokesperson for British Airways said: "safety and security underpins everything we do and we're supporting the authorities with their investigations" An investigation is now underway to find out why the wheel detached from the aircraft.
