Thanks. Have you written one for a layman (like me) or is your writing more targeted to other philosophers? I did read a book called The Tao of Physics a long time ago. I’m not sure if that counts.

Hi Gary. I follow you because I’m a Blondie fan since I was 12. TBYPD is for me one of their greatest songs. But I’m curious about how philosophy and the mystical meet. I can see Eastern Philosophy and the mystical working together. But Western? Which book would you recomend on the subject?

Have you ever considered a solo record of just you playing guitar? A lot of my favorite Blondie music is that. You guys have usually had two guitarists simoultaneously buy I always assume the melower one is you. “Mágic” from the Curse is not one of my favorite Blondie songs but I love the guitar.

For me, by far her best record. Innovative and cohesive. Her other solo records sound a bit generic in comparison. I understand why DD&B is most fans favorite. It’s far catchier, but Koo Koo is so much more interesting. TJWM is my all time favorite Debbie solo song. Silly lyrics but great sonically.

This video came out 8 years ago. Some people might think it’s recent.

You haven’t posted anything in almost a week. I’m getting worried. Únless, you are busy putting the final touches on the new record coming out in the fall.

Is this the cover of the new record? Has the new record come out? Does it have a title? Is there a video for the single?

And the new record is coming out when?

During this Interview which is more than a year old, they also mention the new record. It still isn’t out and not a word from anyone except that it’s coming in the fall. The fall is 2 months away. At this point a single would have been released if it was really coming out in the fall.

Chris, I’m a fan since I was 12. I’m in my 50s now. There are lots of lifetime fans like me who have supported the band for 45+ years. You guys have been announcing the release of a new record for 3 years and still nothing. Obviously you don’t owe us anything. But an update would be a nice gesture.

Dear Blondie management. Isn’t it time to start dropping hints about new record? Fall is just a couple months away.

Two more days for Debbie’s 80th birthday. And maybe an announcement of when the new record is coming out? At least release a single to celebrate her birthday.

To all Blondie fans. If you are bored of the endless/superficial/repetitive/obvious “Debbie is the most beautiful, hottest woman in rock history” type comments, try the Blondie threads on Reddit instead. It’s far from perfect, but at least there is an attempt to focus on the band’s MUSIC/WORK.

As far as I know, Stevie never recorded any of it. The proyect was proposed to her but she never got involved in it. Not even a demo.

It’s always credited to both. The story about this song is a bit unclear because Moroder and Debbie are listed as cowriters. But Blondie the band recorded the song. Moroder liked parts of it, disliked others. So his studio musicians rerecorded the parts he didn’t like.

There is still time for a duet. And we are just a few months away from the last quarter of the year. When the new Blondie record is supposed to come out. But so far we don’t even know what the new record is called. Shouldn’t some publicity/promotion have started by now?

Understandable since Clem recently passed away. A lot of people probably didn’t know who he was until just a couple of months ago.

No 38 year old player could close a gap against a 23 year old player who is also the #1 ranked player in the world. Never in tenis history has anyone older than 38 won a grand slam.

Djokovik is 38 years old. In tennis years, he’s at grandfather level. Sinner is 23 years old. The fact that all three sets were close tells you how good Djokovic is. Most 38 year olds would have lost 6-0 6-0 6-0 against Sinner.

Why? Each of them is completely unique. Neither of them seems to have ever tried to copy anybody else.

I’m just guessing.

Name of the new record? As a title It would be a nice bookend to No Exit. Also Appropriately titled for Blondie’s last record.

He didn’t say. He just said it’s not Electric Vortex and neither is Neón Nights the single.

So Chris just confirmed Electric Vortex is not the name of the new record. Somebody just made it up.

Damm Reddit, Facebook and Popjustice! Ever since the official Blondie forum dissapeared around 2010 there is just no reliable source of Blondie info.

Electric Vortex (rumored name of new record)and Neón Nights (rumored name of the new single). Both apply here. Of course it’s possible somebody made up those names.

Allready Naked and Too Much are his best songs.

I’m in the minority on this but I think it’s by far, her best solo record. Not sure why they open the record with Jump Jump which to me is the weakest song.
