Driving a taxi through a post-apocalyptic city while picking up customers and wreaking havoc upon your enemies was never so much fun!

Yeah, it was different, and you had to get used to it. But at least for me, that dizziness was quickly gone.

09.07.2025 10:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, rewiring is the right word! It was amazing!!
I have played and finished Overload as well (couldn't say no to that ofc.) - ending got pretty hard, but apart from that, I enjoyed it greatly.
Have you played Descent?
It was a major success and rightfully so! It started the subgenre of 6DOF first-person shooters and it was the first fully 3D FPS game. What a blast! π₯
πΏ Descent (1995)

Which game asks you climb out of the flying airplane to grab a keycard, hanging from its tail wings?!
The height of gaming excitement!

Have you played Gore: Ultimate Soldier?
It was to be published in 1999 but got delayed several times until its release in 2002.
Enjoy this early trailer from 1998. It is gorgeous! π€©

I say time well spent. Catacomb Abyss, despite being pretty simple, is lots of fun. Art is gorgeous, considering that it's all in EGA colors, and there are plenty of different environments and enemies. Not to mention all the hidden loot! π°

Before work, i decided to play an old #msdosgame called #thecatacombabyss on my #Windows98 ##RETROGAMING computer, and I finally beaten the #shareware episode. The boss was a complete joke, but to be fair, it's an old game. #retrorobbyreviews #notaprilfools

Who wants some Wang?! Shadow Warrior is Japanese-themed Build engine game where we play Lo Wang in a fight against Master Zilla.
Apart from powerful weapons and beautiful levels the game stood out for its fully controllable vehicles. π₯

Have I mentioned the amazing psychobilly soundtrack? It works so damn well with the game!

Most players have a love-hate relationship with this title for a good reason. While devs did a great job with the Hillbilly theme (humor, visuals, one-liners...), the levels were often very cryptic. What did you like the most?

What a great team! Yeah, it is, without a doubt π
18.02.2025 22:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quiver is another "Doom clone" that came out a bit too late, competing with games like Quake 2 that came out the same year. It's still fun though!

ROTT (originally a follow-up to Wolf 3D) had it all -
13 weapons, 5 chars, giblets, dog mode, jump pads, GADs, rolling boulders, lava walls... It was silly and crazy, it was LUDICROUS!
Happy 30th birthday! π

Ken's Labyrinth is freeware. You can still find the full version on the game's official page.
3rd party Modern port also exists, which makes the game playable on modern systems (the link is also on the same page)

Before the Build Engine games, there was Ken's Labyrinth. Full of colorful maze-like areas, weird monsters, and exotic weapons such as bubble gum.
What stood out the most were the interactive elements like vending and slot machines!
